BVM BVS MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon & Director (Derbyshire)
Katie graduated from Nottingham in 2012, joining a farm practice in North Yorkshire working with a range of dairy, beef and sheep clients. Some of you may recognise Katie, who spent a year working at the Lancs practice before also joining Nottingham vet school as a resident, dividing her time between research into dairy cattle housing and practice in South Derbyshire. Katie will continue working towards her diploma but couldn’t resist the opportunity to join LLM in their latest venture. Katie also sits on the BCVA board, frequently consulting on government policies. Outside work, Katie enjoys competitive sports and plays rugby and is an amateur boxer.
Gemma is our practice coordinator at Bakewell – keeping Andy and Katie well organised! She is Peak District born and bred to put it in her own words and knows the local area like the back of her hand. She has always had a huge passion for the countryside and loves nothing more than a walk with her husband, two boys and three retrievers. Also a bit of a sporting fan, don’t be surprised if you see Gemma gracing the rugby field at the weekend! She’s looking forward to getting stuck in so give her a call at the practice!
Approved TB Tester / VetTech
Lilli joins our Derbyshire team as an Approved TB tester but will also head up the VetTech service. Lilli grew up on a beef and sheep farm in Derbyshire and was always cow mad from a young age and has never grown out of it!
She started an apprenticeship on a 1500 head pedigree Holstein dairy farm and soon found a passion for dairy, especially calf rearing and calf health! While on the apprenticeship Lilli was always hands on with the vets and learnt a lot. She loved every second of being there and only left to see the way other herds worked.
Lilli then became self employed and worked on a variety of dairy farms with all different breeds. She’s excited for the challenge of the ATT pilot and is keen to learn new things.
