Lambert, Leonard and May was founded in 1999 on a vision that we still hold true today:
“We are a team committed to the progression of the livestock industry through excellence in all that we do. We want to maintain a fun, friendly, happy and professional atmosphere and to be proud of our service standards and community values”
Charlie Lambert and Den Leonard set off on their own almost 20 years ago and established the practice – although back then the practice was just known as Lambert and Leonard! They set up in Wrenbury, but weren’t on their own for long as Des Leonard and Bill May shortly joined, establishing Lambert, Leonard and May, with Simon King making the team up to five in 2003.
In 2004, the expanding team needed a new premise and so we moved to a garage property in Broomhall. However, it wasn’t long before this space was also outgrown and in 2008 Lambert, Leonard and May found its current home in the abandoned “Ancient Briton” public house just outside Whitchurch – our inspiration for the renowned “Lucky Cow” pub!
Since the practice’s inception Lambert, Leonard and May has grown from strength to strength, building a wonderful and progressive client base that continues to attract some of the best farm vets in the country. Our service portfolio has developed to expand beyond clinical vetting to include our UKET and VetTech services to name just two; plus we have been able to extend our geographical reach within the Midlands due to client demand and have an established presence in Lancashire.
In 2018, we were lucky enough to be crowned overall winners at the British Dairying Cream Awards, which goes to the company that demonstrates exemplary contribution to the dairy industry. We see this as a full testament to our progressive clients and the whole team who follow our core values
- Efficiency and Effectiveness
